Once a year the Trustees of ACT assess the application forms which must be submitted by the last working day of March. The successful applicants usually receive a grant to a maximum of £500. The Trust will soon be wound up, so 2017 successful applicants will be the last to be awarded grants.

The grants are paid only once a year, in July, after references have been taken up and other paperwork completed.
